Background:
A Plan for Your Introduction and Conclusion - Oral Language and Visual Aids
First, write out your first draft of your introduction and conclusion for your special occasion speech, then go back and add oral language such as alliteration, metaphor, and descriptive language. Use proper outlining format.
 
Second, brainstorm the visuals you will use for each section of your presentation. These can be either PowerPoint slides or other visuals. Design your slides or illustrations for 1 clear thought per slide, emotional supporting evidence, simple charts or diagrams, limited text - no text or very little text.
 
Assignment:
1. Use the ideas for using oral language found in Learning Activity 1 (simplification, parallelism, alliteration, repetition, etc.) to write your own introduction using oral language.
