Directions You are to select and complete ONE project from the options below. Your project will be based on the Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass. You will be graded on content, conventions, organization, and presentation (see rubric).
 
1. Soundtrack: Create a soundtrack for this novel with a minimum of 6 songs. You will select 6 songs and write a paragraph for eách describing how the song relates to the novel. You are required to use evidence from the text.
  • Present your sound track on a PowerPoint Slideshow
  • There should be 7 slides including a title slide and 6 slides (ONE for each song) with paragraph on each slide.
2. Book Cover: Recreate the cover of the novel, and include an explanation why you designed it the way you did. You must also explain why you-think the original cover related to the novel and you must include evidence from the text.
 
3. Time Capsule: Create a time capsule for your novel or character in the novel. You must include a minimum of seven objects (Pictures of objects) to include in your

  • 8 slides including a title slide and 7 slides (ONE for each object) with paragraph on each slide.
4. Vlog and/or video clip: Select a scene from your novel and re-create it in a video clip. The video clip must be at least 4 minutes long. You must include a written description of the scene using textual evidence stating why it is significant to the novel.
  • Video can be recorded on School Laptops. No phones required.
5. Newsletter/Newspaper Review: Create a newspaper or newsletter review based on the novel. Include literary elements, significant events, character/author photos, and articles containing evidence from the text.
 
6. Test: Create a test based on the reading. The test must include 18 high-level multiple choice questions and two short answer questions. You must include questions for each chapter we read and include answers.
