I need help understanding this question and would please like a detailed mechanism on how the product was achieved.
One possible additional product from the reaction of 1-butanol with HBr besides 1- bromobutane is dibutyl ether (see structure below). Provide a mechanism, with curved reaction arrows, for the formation of dibutyl ether in this reaction.(7) 2.
