Document Summary

Definition:"" animal cells are the basic structural and functional units of animal tissues and organs. It means that, unlike prokaryotic cells, animal cells have membrane-bound organelles suspended in the cytoplasm enveloped by a plasma membrane"". Another definition of animal cell:"" animal cells are typical of the eukaryotic cell, enclosed by a plasma membrane and containing a membrane-bound nucleus and organelles.
