Document Summary

Two type of protein help provide non specific resistance against bacterial and viral invasions. Some cell responds to viral invasion by producing a protein called interferon. When virous infect cell, the cell produce interferon, which it releases to nearby cell. The interferon binds to surface receptor on neighbouring cell. Trigger the production of enzyme within the cell that would prevent the virous replicating if it managed to invade. More than 20 different protein called complement circulate in the blood stream in an inactive form, waiting to assist the immune response. Besides augmenting the inflammatory response, the release of complement also starts a process that kill certain bacteria. Antimicrobial proteins are type of protein which helps in nonspecific resistance again bacterial and viral invasion. Mainly two type: interferon and, the complementary system. Interferon are specialised cell responds to viral invasion in such a way that producing a protein called interferon.
