Document Summary

Modern society has unprecedented structural and functional differentiation. The immediate result of this is any social order that is indeed accomplished is a local and temporary order. It"s an order that"s restricted to a particular function system and a level of social association. Ex any social order that is accomplished in an encounter it can"t be transferred and made binding to another encounter. Neither can an order of an organization be transferred to another org. There is no order where everything can be together and planned. A modern society is a deep centered society, de-centered. Does not exclude there are local and temporary centers in society. These centers are restricted a particular function system or level of social association. A modern society can"t be integrated and coordinated from a unified center; so, modern society can"t be visualized in the form of hierarchy. Can"t be envisions/understand as an integrated hierarchy with an apex that everything below it can be planned.
