Bogus pipeline condition : when you deceive them to get an honest answer. Want to know how people will behave naturally. Make sure they can"t change their behavior because they know you"re observing. A narrative that describes a culture or a part of culture. When you mingle with your target sample. Increase validity when you test more populations. Ex. what the research wears - authority. A relationship between two variables whereby a change in one variable is associated with a congruent change in the other. The correlation coefficient describes the direction and degree of the association. The sign (+) or (-) indicates the direction of the relationship. (+) means that they are related and are changing together. (-) means there is no relationship between points. The value of the coefficient 0 to 1 indicates the size of the relationship. Has to do with the nature of the measured variables.
