Use vocal variety during speeches (opposite of monotone) Your face should match the emotion you"re giving off. Dress appropriately for whatever scene you are delivering your speech in. Hard to use because of size or availability. Must be at least 8 by 10 to be seen by audience. Useful in clarifying stats, showing distribution, comparisons, etc. Useful for items too large for a graph. You can combine photos with audio, or even show a video. Prepare them in advance, and practice with them. Avoid placing too many photos or text on one slide. Serif fonts are easiest to read- they have little feet. Sans serif is hard to read- they don"t have the feet. Avoid crazy fonts that are hard to read. Don"t display where it can"t be seen by everyone. Avoid passing items around during speech, wait till the end. Only display the visual when referring to it. Don"t use them for the first time when giving the speech.
