Inference, less desirable: behavioral based: evaluations of the frequency or quality of a person"s behaviors, acts with integrity, presents material clearly, better, most desirable, results based: performance outcomes, volume of sales, number of patents. Performance standard goals that are: objective, measurable, clearly understood. Typical vs. maximal performance: typical: will do performance due to ability and average motivation, performance over a long period of time, how a person performs normally, maximal: can do performance due to immediate burst of effort.
