Less effective for complex jobs because behaviors are difficult to observe: requires considerable investment of time, questionnaire, pros: Less likely to make employees feel important: standardized questionnaire, e. g. , paq, driven, in part, by cost, sme source (sme = subject matter expert): source of data. Incumbent, supervisor, job analyst: no source of data is the best. Ideally, obtain information from all three and look for areas of convergence and divergence.
