Destined to complete the cell cycle and if it messes up it will kill itself. Checked during g2 and if okay then it will pass the g2 checkpoint. Only if every chenetacore is connected to a spindle fiber will it make it through the m checkpoint. The cell is commonly present as a clock, where a cell goes through g1 phase, s phase, and g2 phase and then divides in mitosis.
