Cancer unregulated cell division: no longer respond normally to signals regarding cell divisions, including both internal and external signals. Internal signals include apoptosis when something in the cell goes wrong, the cell may need to undergo programmed cell death. However, cancer cells divide despite the internal signal of apoptosis.
