Important muscles to know: masseter muscle- aka cheek muscle; main muscle for chewing- brings mandible up, respiratory muscles, external intercostal muscles- Internal intercostal muscles- help contract entire rib cage down: diaphragm, birds & lizards lack, forelimb muscles, major extensor of the forelimb triceps brachii muscle, tri- meaning 3, major flexor biceps brachii muscle, abdominal muscles, external oblique.
