Language is the framework for discourse; it"s a set of tools and vocabulary. Discourse takes language and places ideas in it. Discourse ways of representing the world. All three of these things^ are embedded in discourse. Again = once a certain way and we should return to our previous state of being. Must go back and fix the mistakes made in the past (either in the last 8 years or the last. Focuses on america"s problems, not the global issues. Has the opportunity to fix or reform. Acknowledges how things aren"t the way they should be. American should be the leading world power, but it"s not. We"re not where we"re supposed to be. Great is defined differently for different people. Power over someone has power over you; direct exertion of power over someone"s future or assets. Power through you live in a system where in order to gain wealth or power you must work to gain those things.
