Athenians temple at delphi for a thank you for helping against the persians (represent theseus and athenians fighting) Theseus"s friend pirithous remains in the underworld. Theseus chose little helen - her brothers came and rescued her. Pirithous chose persephone - went to underworld. Offered a seat but could not get up. Theseus rescued - half of him incomplete bc his friend is not rescued. Theseus found his kingdom has been taken and he dies. Minoan civilization - developed earlier than micineanas. Powerful, wealthy, civilized, big navy, ties with mediterranean - overpowered mycenaeans.
