Hippolytus (step-son, child of hippolyta and antiope) Story told by euripides in his hippolytus. Hippolytus worships only artemis and neglects aphrodite. Aphrodite is not please that hippolytus feels he has the power to ignore sex and love. Aphrodite comes up with a diabolical punishment. Made phaedra (his stepmother) fall in love with him. She is so in love, lust, with hippolytus. The slave is like wow that"s a tough one. Hippolytus curses the slave women when she tells him about this. But he vows not to tell what she is about to tell him. Hippolytus says there was no need for women, there is no reason for them and how terrible women are he doesn"t want to have anything to do with any women . Phaedra overhears this and kills herself, but leaves behind a note for. She accuses hippolytus of trying to rape her. He can"t say anything because he swore not to tell anyone.
