Anyone can develop an antiracist identity or justice oriented identity. There is hope and active approaches for addressing racial injustice. How we teach any of these ideas is an example of a final project topic that could be pursued. But has a profound effect on educational experiences and outcomes. Understanding concepts and vocabulary related to race. Gaining comfort/practice in reading, recasting, and resolving racially stressful encounters. Recognizing ways that racism is institutionalized in systemic ways and understanding influence on education.
