Know what your audience is feeling so you can target them. Physiological filters: to do with the physical self. Our physical state: tired, hungry, irritated, sick . Peripheral vision, limited hearing, smells, what we can. Limited brain capacity: (like a computer: too many apps at reach with our body one time crash !) Paying attention in major-specific classes, classes we like, etc. Useful: don"t have to re-learn as a human; allows us to attend less. Not seeing second the in the the green garden. Stimuli in the world; some things grab attention more than others. Salience: stimulus that stands out from others.
