Document Summary

For decades, animals around the globe have been abused, tormented, and exploited all for human entertainment. From zoos to aquariums to circuses, animal abuse and neglect has been a common occurrence. Personally, i believe that no animal deserves to be out of their natural habitat unless absolutely necessary, but a priority for me would be the conduct of circuses and their animals. This is because, travelling circus animals often live under inhumane conditions, given that they are neglected and treated like their wild counterparts. These poor creatures are often caged when travelling for months at a time and whipped when they do not comply to their trainers orders. I cannot even begin to fathom what it would be like to live under such cruel and inhumane conditions. A life filled with cramped, filthy cages, in which they eat, drink, sleep, defecate, and urinate all in the same place must be a traumatizing experience (peta).
