The face on your plate jeffrey masson. Some say that they are happy of they can live in conformity with their own nature and using their traits in a natural setting. To live according to nature is not a big mystery. For example: cows are herd animals they are not asked to be transported into dark trains in a slaughter house or take their newborns away from them at birth. One that cannot see the sun must not be happy. Ducks need water and being neglected of a pond is not letting them express their innermost nature. Geese are monogamous they take of their dlocks and separation means not being happy as they cannot protect and take care of one another. A dlock of sheep needs a leader so they do not become pray to mountain lions. Thus, animals generally seem to be happy as long as they have good health and adequate food.
