Ethnic identity, themes you are going to bring from your families to this new partnered system (religion, beliefs), what religion you will now worship as a family, negotiation. Themes are reflected in how we use resources. Codependent roles, each role is accompanied by a counter-role. People think conjugal roles are revolved around gender. The smart one, the fun one, the technological one. External boundary tasks: patterns of influence and interaction with the external systems. Clear that the primary loyalty is to your partner not your parents.
