Office hours: ms 8141 wednesdays 11am-noon, and by appointment. 16% quizzes (given in discussion section during weeks 3, 5, 6, and 9 4% each. 12% lab assignments (4 lab assignments, 3% each. 15% midterm 1 in-class, friday week 4, 45 minutes. 15% midterm 2 in-class, friday week 7, 45 minutes. 30% final exam scheduled by ucla registrar. 5% iclicker attendance and participation (scores from the 2 lowest sessions are dropped) Introductory statistics by gould and ryan, 2nd edition. You do not need mystatlab or any of the extra stuff. This means you can get away with not doing the homework, but you will be cheating yourself out of a learning opportunity. At the end of the quarter, all students will get 100% for their homework score. You will need a calculator for the class.
