As a person, you have attitudes about issues, ideas, orals. In favor of protecting civil liberties and being tough on time; and believe it is ok if a guilty person goes free bc he/she was not read miranda rights when arrested. Most people have loosely structured sets of political attitudes, not necessarily consistent with each other or well informed by facts. Most people do not seem to be forming ideas from overarching ideology. Does not mean that they lack meaning, are unreal or are weakly held. Need some ideas about where they might come from so we can look. People in my book club think gay marriage is wrong so i do, too. What my union says is good for unions is good for me.
