Most women"s husbands didn"t know about this and the women that got their tubes tied were called women of the street. It was twofold: had to convince them that it had happened and that it needed to be fought. Quillagan was in charge of the hospital and completely evil: we were just practicing good medicine/good care . Ethical/moral question: does she have the right to choose? .
