The cell cycle describes growth and division of all types of cells. Mitotic phase: equal distribution of genetic material to 2 daughter cells. How do chromosomes move to the opposite poles of the spindle. Some mt are marked between the left pole and the chromosome. Length of mt on pole side doesn?t change. A testable explanation for a set of observations based on the available data and guided by inductive reasoning. Hypothesis: the inhibitor called 93stop will stop cell proliferation at a specific stage of the cell cycle. Human brain cancer cells will be grown in the presence of 93stop or in the absence of the inhibitor. After 72 hours of growth, samples are treated with fluorescent chemical that binds dna to give us a snapshot of the cell cycle phase.
