This rst told us how circumcising males could reduce hiv transaction. 3 clinical trials were done and there was a 50-60% reduction in hiv incidences. These studies found out that circumcision only bene ts the male and does not bene t the female. Treatment of hiv with arv therapy reduces viral load and causes less infections. Evidence of treatment as secondary prevention derives mainly from observational studies and mathematic models. Condoms are the most effective means of prevention.
