First, metaethics creates a race to the top. This is bad for education because it encourages debaters to only use them as a reason to "preclude the other"s case", not for their value in debate. Moreover, if one debater runs a metaethic, the other must also in order to avoid a structural disadvantage, thus limiting the argumentation in a debate round and severely harming the educative value of debate. Vote on education because the only thing of lasting endurance from a round is the education we receive. This means that the most important aspect of our arguments is their educational qualities. Therefore, you ought to vote on the most valuable argument in the round, and the method by which you determine value is education. 1- fairness only helps the winner of the debate round, while education helps everyone in the room. 2- education outweighs on timeframe because while fairness is round specific, education helps through life.
