Biological processes and psychological, and social processes affect each other and thereby influence health and disease. Allows for a focus on interactions, rather than relying solely on deterministic biological or psychosocial explanations. Diseases are not limited by national boundaries. Global health is concerned with the health of populations in both local and global contexts and transcends the perspectives and concerns of individuals and individual nations . A view of health as the interconnection of all living organisms on the planet, including the planet. Concept recognizes interrelationship between animal, human and environmental health. 60% of existing human infectious diseases are zoonotic. At least 75% of emerging infectious diseases of humans have an animal origin. Global health is concerned with worldwide improvement of health & well-being, reduction of disparities, and protection against global threats that disregard national borders.
