Document Summary

On earth there are more than 390,000 plants known to science. (morelle, 2016) each are unique but all provide life with a plentiful supply of oxygen, food, aesthetics and life. By using a process known as photosynthesis, plants can produce their own food converting solar energy into chemical energy. With such a diverse array of plants, they are able to live in several different environments adapting to the conditions. It is important for plants to learn and alter the way the obtain water, sunlight and nutrients if they have environmental constraints. This issue has grown increasingly dire due to the accelerated effects of climate change. Humans have increased the rate of climate change by activities such as, burning fossil fuels, increasing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions trapped in the atmosphere. (unknown, a blanket around the earth, Unknown) finding a solution to try and mitigate or decrease the impacts of climate change is very important.
