In order to run mesquite you must have 1) a pc, mac, or linux computer. Chromebooks are not full computers and will not work (nor do they meet ub"s computing requirements) and 2) the latest version of java running on your computer. Most of you have this, but i recommend going to java. com to download the latest version just in case. Go to the download mesquite link in your lecture"s ublearns site. Select the operating system for your computer (mac os x, windows or linux/unix). Click on the link that says download the latest version of mesquite from the mesquite github repository. Select the version of mesquite for your operating system (linux (1st link), mac (depends on os version, see below), or windows (4th link, . zip file). Save the file (do not open it) to your desktop. The file that will be saved is a zip (or compressed) file.
