Durkheim looks at social change as problematic but is not against it, he thinks status qo is. Durkheim believes that the wealthy are wealthy because of what they contribute to society! Identify general topic / question: review literatutre, formulate testable hypothesis, select research design, survey research, observation (participant -ob), experiment, analysis (content of historical), conduct study - collect data, analyze data, develop conclusion! Dependent variable is affected by change in independent variable ! Pros of survey: has a lot of reach ( a lot of people)!
