Who is on the iep team: parent, student, general education teacher, special education teacher, related services (physical therapist, speech therapist, transportation, etc. , psychologist, lea (local education agency representative) Collaboration: effective collaboration is key during an iep meeting, concern with mutual goal, recognition of diverse areas of expertise, sharing of expertise, equality of team members, decision making by consensus, shared responsibility and accountability. Collaborative problem-solving steps: define the problem, determine the cause, set goals or objectives, develop and implement a plan of action, evaluate the results. Structure of teams: multidisciplinary- each person shares from their area of expertise ideas of goals.
