The metropolis brings complexity and a wide range of conflicts among many: human diversity: with this brings much policy disagreements; a. Jobs and economic interests, income and education, racial and ethnic difference, political views, cultural/religious/and moral values: hundreds of potential governments that implement public policy and provide services. The metropolitan and its population is characterized by a few different aspects of itself: number and density, heterogeneity of population, social and economic interdependence, authority fragmented between many governments. Texas houses 3 of the 10 most largest u. s cities with 4 of the largest msa"s: dallas-fort worth-arlington, houston-the woodlands-sugar land, san antonio-new braunfels, austin-round rock. Demography of the city and its suburbs. The social class that filled the suburbs were traditionally the middle class with poverty often centered in the inner cities with older suburbs. This is changing compared to the way modern suburbs are composed.
