Can provide varied role, they can provide a number of diff. services. Individual therapy, during and after hospital: family therapy. Can provide services beyond post-injury phase: discharge, transitioning back into school. Crucial to have pediatric psychologist constantly following up with individual and school to advocate for child and family: effects can last for many years. Note: you can have serious personality changes after suffering a traumatic brain injury. Motor weaknesses on right side of his body. Transferred to inpatient rehab unit for 2 months, learning how to walk, talk, physical and occupational therapy. Mom spends all the time at hospital. Mom ends up clinically depressed after the 2 months.
