Article i (legislative branch house of representatives, senate, congress) Section 2: apportionment of seats; a census every ten years. Section 3: standards of the senate (provides equal representation for each state) . Appointed by the state; indirect appointment than house of representatives. Section 5: 2/3 of vote needed to kick someone out of the house of representatives. Problem: could kick you members of the minority party. Framers wanted to forestall the emergence of political parties; did not actually anticipate parties kicking one another out of the house. Section 6: paid by the treasury/receives a salary. Needed because then only the rich could be a representative. Section 7: how a bill becomes a law.
