Document Summary
Perception: top-bottom: perception is our link and access to the world (how we know about our surroundings based on the information we perceive from our senses) Everything that you know about this world is by the various forms of perception. Artists use perception to display a realistic view in a 2d image: perception is our construction of our reality. Everything that we perceive is something that our brain had to work very hard to construct that representation. The reason that i see something is because that is a representation that our brain constructed for us: sense of 3d space/distance. Perception informs an organism about: what is in its environment, where it is, how you would interact, use that object? (what function does it serve) Evolutionary significant actions help the organism to function in the jungle, you need to have a perception to find the tiger. Navigate (know the way back home, know where you found water last time, etc)
