Disrupts information processing intoxicated people may respond to earliest, most obvious aspects of situations, miss subtleties. Attack their own species, different species, or anything else in sight even inanimate objects. Frustration- the perception of being prevented from attaining a goal increases aggressive responses. Children asked to wait for a certain amount of time before they were allowed to play with them, they were shown the toys in a mesh box away from them. Other children allowed to play with the toys immediately when entering the experimenting room. Children who played with toys immediately played happily. Children frustrated by waiting saw toys behind wire screen but coultn play were destructive, they threw their toys around, stepping on them, etc. If frustration is understandable, legitimate, unintentional, then aggression reduced. Children imitate parents and other adults learn aggression. If parents abused as children, can set a chain of abuse in motion large percentage of physically abusive parents were themselves abused.
