Daphne recently started working at acme physical therapy, a small pt-owned practice. Pta career with 3 years at a similar-sized clinic across town, where she"d very much enjoyed the collaborative pt pta team atmosphere. Daphne was flattered, however, when velma, acme"s owner, approached her-saying she"d heard "good things" and offered her a significant pay increase to work for her. While daphne occasionally works with 1 of acme"s 2 other pts, she mostly works with velma. Daphne is certain that she made the right decision in changing jobs. One thing daphne notices early on, though, is that certain modalities tend to be employed with greater frequency at acme than had been the case at her previous employer. She"s not sure why this is the case but defers without comment to the pts" professional judgment until 1 case in particular moves her to rethink her silence.
