Abstract design: abstract design can be derived from natural, organic, or geometrical shapes, but it distorts or stylizes them to create a new meaning or essence. Metamorphic design: metamorphic design refers to the changing, varying forms or shapes within a design. It is an alteration of the design"s basic premises, evolving as it progresses. Principles: rules for applying: often the most important, but can be complex to understand, follow. Spoken to as relationships to things, people, time: we talk about space (spatial) concepts, time & movement can change how we perceive space. Space is perhaps the most important and complex of the basic elements in design theory and application: to the interior designer and the architect, space is the essence of what our natural and man-made environments are all about. Space has physical, visual, emotional, psychological, implied, functional, planned, and aesthetic connotations.
