Document Summary
Work in the future will not be like work in the past or present. The changing nature of work: some people have prediction that the idea of jobs is going away, not true, there will be jobs in the future, they will just be different than jobs of today. Change is happening: the world is changing rapidly, demographics. Younger and older pops growing: fast growth of technology. Robots, ai, sensors: work and workforce redefined, reengineering work, technology reshapes most jobs, transforming the workforce, alternative work arrangement. Implication for individuals: lifelong learning and reskilling, shape your own career path, be adaptable, pursue your passion. Once the project is over, they leave, though they may be called back when another project arises. Intelligent machines that work and react like humans, including speech recognitions, learning, planning and problem solving: sensors, that can hear, smell, sense moisture and vibrations.
