When have skin pain (ex: something hitting your arm) activate sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) increase bp. Decrease bp due to visceral pain, sleep. Hypotension low blood pressure more dangerous short term. Shock huge drop in blood flow: if see someone in shock keep them warm, lie them down (help w/ gravity), elevate their feet up. We do these things so there is less blood pressure: shock is the person experiencing visceral pain!
