Document Summary

In this case study, there are many examples of how concepts from the unit for theories of personality are at play. For instance, one concept we learned about was personality, and how these two men named mccrae and costa developed a theory of 5 high order personality traits that they felt everyone could fit into (weiten et al. , 2014). These 5 traits were considered to be; extraversion, neuroticism, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. In the case study jacob, the main character, definitely fits into one of the 5 main traits of personality, which is openness to experience". This can be seen because jacob was described as someone who loved to travel as a hobby, was creative and enjoyed things like reading, and he was a dreamer with a big imagination. He was also said to be like his mother, whom had died, but was said to also be very adventurous.
