Document Summary

Myocardium has own supply of arteries and veins supplying them with nutrients and removing waste. Two atria divided by interatrial septum: right atrium, left atrium. Two ventricles divided into interventricular septum: left ventricle, right ventricle. Receives oxygen poor blood from systemic circuit through these vessels: superior vena cava. Inferior vena cava: coronary sinus, deoxygenated blood from heart itself. Pectinate muscles: folds formed by the hearts. Fossa ovalis: separated right atrium form left. Receives blood from the right atrium and pumps it into the pulmonary circuit via the pulmonary trunk. Internal walls of the right ventricle: trabeculae carneae, papillary muscle, folds from myocardium, chordae tendineae, tendons of the heart. Receives oxygen rich blood from lungs through pulmonary vein: right and left pulmonary veins. Internal walls of left ventricle: trabeculae carneae, papillary muscles, chordae tendineae. Pumps blood through systemic circuit through aorta.
