To date, we have discussed about the principles of active reading, methods and about the thesis statements for english composition. Prewriting is one of the method in english composition. According to (nordquist, 2019), the concept prewriting relates to every practice or process in composing which makes a writer to think about something like a subject, decide an objective, evaluate a reader and help in preparing the composition. Prewriting is meant to train writers or authors in writing through helping them to learn everything they knew and then what might they have to know. Some of the types of prewriting activities that can help any authors in writing are: free writing, clustering, brainstorming, cubing, keeping a journal, wh questions, outlining, listing. These terms seemed to be new to me unless i knew that those were the basic techniques that we all have used many of the times. Among all of these types, i mostly use brainstorming and listing while writing anything.
