Although same-sex marriage has recently been made legal in the united states not everyone agrees with it. This social issue that is still relevant to everyone today. Same sex marriage has been around since ancient times. From the ancient egyptians to even roman emperors being in a same sex union,where it was not discouraged but celebrated, to today where same sex marriage in all of our fifty states is legal. The roman catholic church has great views against same sex marriage. But may be changing some of its ideas sooner than we think. The diocesan website posted this in an article. More than a year after the u. s. supreme court"s ruling on marriage, and despite recent statements from the campaign trail, the catholic church"s 2000-year-old teaching to the truth about what constitutes marriage remains unchanged and resolute. As catholics, we believe, all humans warrant dignity and deserve love and respect, and unjust discrimination is always wrong.
