Most business transactions do not result in litigation. However, some do when a party feels that a wrong has been committed or some law is violated. If a dispute cannot be resolved, result is usually a lawsuit, have the dispute resolved by a court. Realityif you are in business you are going to be sued! If you are successful, other will want part of your business. If you are an unsuccessful business, then you will probably be sued due to you not being successful. Can be sued for anything and will encounter frivolous lawsuit. Civil - disputes with other individuals or businesses. Businesses do get involved in criminal law but not as often as the other two. We will concentrate on civil law and administrative law. A business will have their own attorney most likely. Usually preponderance of the evidence is standard. Criminal is much higher, beyond the reasonable doubt.
