People usually perform bad in the presence of someone else if the are beginners. However, they could perform good if they master the task: know the pool player study. 4 confederates came into the pool table and watch the players. The results show that the ones that knew how to play well improve their performance 71-80%. Deindividuation states that people forget about their personal values and norms while they are part of a group. Children that were a lot try to not steal one extra candy. Interdependence: usually all the members of the group fight for a common goal/ or share a goal. Group identity: how members of the group feel identify with it. Injunctive norms: how people ought to behave to be socially accepted. What is good or bad for the group. Roles: how each member of the group behave. Each have a certain role in the group.
