Substance: a form of matter that has a definite and constant composition with distinct properties. Two types of substances: are the building blocks of matter. Elements- found in periodic table (118 known today). They: know elements 1-56, platinum (pt), gold (au), hg, uranium (uranium) * Law of constant composition or the law of definite.
