Passionate love: a sexy kind of love: passionate love. Appears to be a universal human experience. An essential part of the marriage contract in many human societies most people say they will not marry without it. Absence or loss of passionate love seems to be a factor in relationship dissolution; many people leave marriages and other romantic relationships when their feelings of passionate love decline or end. Passionate love appears to possess several unique features that differentiate it from other varieties of love: defining passionate love. Perceive their own romantic relationships as superior to the relationships of others. View their current partners favorably than they view other possible partners. View their partners more positively than their partners view themselves. Minimize any seeming faults that their partners possess by miscasting those faults as virtues or downplaying their significance. Accentuate their partners" positive qualities by emphasizing the beneficial impact of those qualities on the overall relationship.
