Images can be manipulated in different ways. Taking a picture resends something real into a representation detaching it from truth. People in a scene not being truthful when they were being photographed. Today nearly all photographs have been altered in some way. Photojournalism suggests that what is being shown as truthful accurate and verified. Putting 2 pictures together to make a story. Misinterpretation can also happen in the process of interpretation an image such as when an image is taken out of context and completely misunderstood.
